It is necessary to bring along all required documents when you renew your vehicle license.
1. Application for renewal of vehicle license TD558
- Signature on the form must be identical to the one on the Vehicle Registration Document
2. Vehicle Registration Document (original)
- Must be signed or with a company chop
3. Identity proof of registered owner
- Hong Kong ID card or company’s Certificate of Incorporation (CI)
4. Vehicle insurance policy or a Cover Note
- Must be valid on the date the renewed license is effective
5. Address proof
- Must be within 3 months of the renewed license effective date
- Name of address proof must be the same as the registered vehicle owner
- Bank statements, water, gas and telephone bills
6. Certificate of Roadworthiness
- If vehicle is 6 years old or more
- Must be within 4 months of the renewed license effective date
